Thank YOU! For serving Christ and the church by being a youth member at the West Ohio United Methodist Church Annual Conference 2009! Your voice and your vote are so important.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: As a youth member (middle school/high school youth) of Annual Conference, you are a full member of the Annual Conference session, with the privilege of speaking and voting in all sessions. It is understood that you will attend all scheduled Annual Conference sessions. Many youth do sit together and we would welcome you to join the youth section at the left front of Hoover Auditorium.
PLEASE NOTE, only Districts or local churches are able to name youth as members of Annual Conference. This registration only grants your participation in youth meals and activities. You will need to contact your pastor or district office to confirm opportunities to serve as a delegate.
SPECIFIC YOUTH ACTIVITIES for Youth and Adult Youthworkers
Youth Ministry Central: Stop by the Next Gen House (across from Sloopy's). You'll find resources, friendly faces, and Snacks! The house is a gathering place for youth and youth workers. (closed during Sessions). The Erie Guest House is on the Corner of 2nd and Maple (there will be a banner)) First floor of house and side yard will be open for gathering for youth from 8 am - 11 pm.
SPECIAL GUEST: Tara Leigh Cobble will be offering Music and Ministry at Youth Ministry Central and other times/places throughout the week.
Sunday
5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Welcome to Hoover! (as you register meet new friends down front)
IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE LAITY SESSION:. Orientation, get to know, music and Pizza at Youth Ministry Central
Monday
Stop By Youth Ministry Central
10:00 p.m. Music, worship, and gathering with Tara Leigh Cobble @ Youth Ministry Central
Tuesday
Stop by Youth Ministry Central between sessions and at meal times (bring your own food) there will be snacks
Big Game Night followed by:
Rock The Dock: Hosted by Next Gen Task Force: Bring your dancing shoes and your best moves for some great fun and even a lesson or 2 - All ages are welcome - we'll have prizes for some "interesting" categories.
Wednesday
Stop by Youth Ministry Central between sessions and at meal times (bring your own food) there will be snacks
Concerts in the Park followed by late night snack and yak
Thursday
End of Conference 2009 – Big Group Hug!
HOUSING: Local churches are responsible for the care and supervision of youth delegates from their congregation. The Conference will not provide housing supervision for youth.
